Instructions
1: Rinse the chana dal and soak it for at least 30 minutes. 2: In a saucepan, heat mustard oil and add chopped onions, ginger, green chillies, and garlic. Sauté until the onions turn golden. 3: Add salt, turmeric powder, and all spices (red chilli powders, coriander powder, garam masala, kasuri methi). Mix well. 4: Add the soaked chana dal and 1.5 cups of water. Cook until the dal is tender. 5: In another pan, add oil and prepare the bhuna masala with coriander seeds, jeera, sauf, black peppercorns, dried red chillies, and mustard seeds. 6: Combine the bhuna masala with the cooked chana dal mixture. 7: Add boiled soya and diced potato. Cook for another 10 minutes. 8: Finish with curd and sprinkle fresh coriander leaves before serving.View original recipe
